Worm Wee -
what a wierd name...do worms really wee?
Actually, no, but as part of the process of breaking down
garden wate, they not only produce fantastic compost, but they also produce
a rich and valuable liquid plant food, officially known as Worm Tea, and
known in our house as 'Worm Wee'
When people think of Wormeries they often think of the compost (caste) produced and the value of this caste. It is high in nutrients and has a peat like structure, which is extremely good for your soil improvement. The compost has also been 'biologically enhanced' by the worm activity - a rich source of beneficial microbial life, which improves soil structure and texture, makes nutrients available to plants and improves disease resistance.
As part of the process, a rich, organic liquid fertiliser (tea) is produced, which contains the same goodness and rich microbial life as the compost.
The
fantastic liquid feed has numerous uses for house and garden plants. Dilute
the liquid with about 10 parts of water for your organic, liquid plant food.
Typically the liquid feed has a medium level of the major plant nutrients
- potassium and phosphorus, has a medium/high level of nitrogen and is rich
in essential minerals and trace elements. Use once a week for excellent
results.
One
of the best things about using Worm Wee is that you can use it to fertilise
ANY plant! Because it is 99% organic, it's perfectly safe to be used on
vegetables or fruits, as well as flowers and shrubs.
Worm Wee comes in bottles of two sizes
100ml - £4.00
250ml - £6.50
