My name is Gwen Petitpierre and I started this site primarily as an extra source of income, using affiliate schemes associated with beauty and pampering products.

As time has gone by, I have found that, try as I might, the beauty and pampering industry is not for me. I am too down to earth and practical and with this in mind, I have found that gardening, DIY and smallholding are far more interesting and are much more fun to learn about.

My daughters and I are all getting great enjoyent out of running our very small smallholding. We grow vegetables, have four chickens and run some wormeries, which produce any compost and fertiliser that we need. Not only is it fun to do, but it saves us money, is environmentally friendly and is extremely satisfying.

Finding products and services that help us all to lead greener and more fruitful lives is extremely interesting, and the products and services that I have included on this site reflect my own interests as well as those of likeminded friends and acquaintances.

Many of the suppliers will be recognised by you, but I also hope to bring you something slightly different, something to fire your imagination, save you money and make your property more enjoyable and productive.
